Essie LuxEffects Stroke of Brilliance

Have you seen the new Essie LuxEffects polish? I found it at Walgreen's in the LuxEffects display. I would've walked right by it if I hadn't heard about it since there was no sign or label stating it was new. C'mon Essie, you should know better!

Essie Stroke of Brilliance is a periwinkle blue glitter in a clear base. Nice addition to the collection. I love that it's not completely blue or purple, but somewhere in between. It's dense so one coat (below) covers beautifully.

I layered this over Sally Hansen White On!, an opaque white creme; and Wet N Wild Megalast Break The Ice, which is a gorgeous sheer white polish with shimmer. Essie Stroke of Brilliance is gorgeous against a light polish, don't you think?

Have any of you picked this up yet?

P.S. Moving sucks. With all this rain the move is now pushed back to next week. So now I'm no longer on track with my posts, now I'm behind since I have to do next week's challenge posts. Sigh. AND I'm living surrounded by boxes. Bah! At least my polishes will keep me company.

    1. Haha. Thanks! And maybe the polishes are there, just not well marked. They are put in the same five polish displays, but one row will have these. It's so weird.

  8. I just got this yesterday! I have it on my nails right now over Essie's Blue Rhapsody, and it's going to be tomorrow's blog post :)

LOVE it! I actually just grabbed a second at another Walgreens- at my Walgreens, Stroke of Brilliance was in a LuxEffects display towards the front with all the other displays (and had big 'NEW!' stickers over the SoB spot). At the second Walgreens there was no display, so I just asked the girl working there- who directed me to the normal Essie area. They had it in the normal LuxEffects spot, but nothing to say 'new!'. So everyone should keep their eyes open in both spots!

    1. Oh I bet that combo is gorgeous!! That's so weird about the displays! Maybe Walgreen's should know better! haha I don't know but it's a FAIL on someone's part because people who aren't as crazy, er, up to date as us wouldn't even notice it on the display racks!

  11. Sometimes there's a color combo that I love & this has got to be one of the best ones! For some reason the purple just looks amazing against that white!
