Summer Challenge: Favorite Summer Memory

Favorite Summer Memory

Hiya beautiful, I'm back with our Summer Challenge. Today's challenge is "Favorite Summer Memory." I really had to think hard on this one. You know how it goes, the more you try to think of something, the harder it is to remember.

Here's a hint to my favorite summer memory: "Shark! Shark! ... Dolphin! Dolphin!"

Summer Challenge: Favorite Summer Memory

When I showed this mani to my husband, this is what went down...
Me: Do you like it?
Husband: What is that? Buildings?
Me: Uh, does it look like buildings?
Husband: No... Is it water?
Me: Yeah, but do you see what's in the water?
Husband: What is that?
Me: A dolphin! Shark! Shark! Dolpin! Dolphin!
Husband: Screw you! (laughing) I was trying to save your life! I didn't want you dangling your feet in the water and getting them bitten off.
Me: I was standing on the jetty six feet above the water! How did you think my life was in danger?
Husband: Last time I try to save your life .... (continues mumbling and walks off)

Water

To achieve the background for this manicure, I used a dark blue polish base and lightly sponged on a light blue, turquoise, and white, and mixtures of each. I tried to use only the edge to produce a sharper, linear look. I think it's quite interesting to look at, especially with the shimmer of the polishes. I may have to try this again with different colors.

    1. Awww thank you! I liked it much more than I thought I would, it was so hard to put a dolphin on there, even though it's only on one nail.
