Damn you Seche Vite. When you're fresh, you're amazing. When you're a little old, you sure know how to ruin a great manicure.
The color, of course, is Sally Hansen Good To Grape, a beautiful blue toned purple creme with good coverage and only needed two coats, but I used three just because that's what I always use.
This, unfortunately, was covered as quickly as it dried. Ugh. I think I need to buy a new bottle or get a new top coat.
Any recommendations out there?
I'm currently loving Glisten & Glow HK Girl, its just fabulous and I've not experiences shrinkage at all
ReplyDeleteIm using the maybelline gel coating which Im really liking. I also bought a new essie one the other day but am yet to use that!

I liked it too
ReplyDeleteSounds great!
ReplyDeleteHi! Like you I was a die hard SV girl. A nail friend kept telling me to try Poshe Quick Dry Top Coat. So when I had a $5 off $10 @ Ulta I got it. Omgosh! It blows SV out of the water. No shrinkage. And SV yellowed on me with pastels, Poshe does not. And you can thin it as you go with no problems. I would like to try the HK Girl, i just have never gotten around to ordering it.
ReplyDeleteI've heard great things about Poshe although I've not tried it myself. I quite like the Sally Hansen I'm currently using. Can't remember the name of it but it's in the red bottle :)
ReplyDeleteGreat post. Will be referring to this tomorrow lol :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a beutiful purple :)
ReplyDeleteI love Seche Vite - when I used about a quarter of it, I add 10 drops of Seche Restore, then I use a few times more, add 7 drops of SR, and then I fill it up with Seche Vite from the big bottle i always buy, the "Pro" size - and I simply LOVE Seche Vite...
sally hansen diamond flash (black bottle)is the love of my nailpolish-life.. no shrinking, no smudging and no dulling of holo-effects! And it doesn't go thick like SV does. And it dries quick. Love, love, love!!
ReplyDeleteOut the Door doesn't dry out nearly as quickly as Seche and smells much less stinky. I buy a big bottle and refill an old Julep topcoat bottle from it as needed (starts to get gummy with about 1/8-1/4 remaining). But for shine, Glossy Glam beats OTD.
