I tried animal print for the first time. I think it turned out OK, but it's not as cool as some I've seen on the net. I used a base of
Lime Crime Crema de Limon, spots of
Lime Crime Parfait Day, and accent of
Lime Crime Once in a Blue Mousse.

I thought maybe some glitter would be fun, so I added
H&M Aqua Splash over the blue. The glitter came out a little sparse so I wasn't super thrilled with it, but I also wasn't about to keep painting on layers, so here's what I got for ya!

Lime Crime Pastel Animal Print |
Here is the base color alone. I had a little trouble with the formula, but I have that with most yellows. This went on better than most and is a nice, bright true yellow that doesn't lean orange. Most of the swatches I've seen are really pastel, but this one was bright for me. Can there be such a thing as a bright pastel?

ReplyDeleteI like it better without the glitter. Crema de lemon is amazing, love the intensity of it!
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean by bright pastel! I picked up Lime Crime's Patelchio (say that three times fast!) and it is shockingly bright yet soft. I was surprised as well!
ReplyDeleteThat is gorgeous! I really want those polishes. :D
ReplyDeleteCreamy yellow!! How odd, but still very cute!!! I liked your leo nails, specially the ones with glitter!!! Very neo and unusual! Yiha!!/Azure
ReplyDeleteAh it's so pretty! I'm such a fail at anything animal print on nails. I can paint the animal but no way can I do the print! It doesn't even make sense :P I love your manicure. I wish my nails looked like this now :(
