The Penguin Makeup Challege, Week 2: Black & Color |
I went super strict with the "& Color" and only used one color - Lime Crime Twilight. It had to be a purple!! =) I had hoped to do something drastically different than my last look, but it looks more similar than I had intended. Oh well.
The Penguin Makeup Challege, Week 2: Black & Color |
For the upper lid, I applied a sheer wash of Lime Crime Twilight then used Urban Decay Black Out and blended it toward the center of the eye. For the bottom lid, I outlined the colored area with Urban Decay Ransom, filled it in, and pat on Lime Crime Twilight.
This was my first time using Maybelline Pop of Purple mascara and I wasn't too impressed. It was pretty dry and I could barely tell I had it on my lashes. I applied three coats and then gave up. I applied Lime Crime Twilight on top of the lashes while they were wet with my last coat of mascara. I may try using it again, but so far, no me gusta.
Hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading!

Lime Crime Twilight is gorgeous. Beautiful medium purple with blue sheen. Reminds me of Urban Decay Ransom, which is why I put them together.

ReplyDeletethis looks great! very unique. great job on the blending! :)
ReplyDeleteThat looks really amazing! What did you use to get the clean lines?
ReplyDeleteOn top, I used a piece of tape that I had applied/removed to the back of my hand a few times to get out most of the stickiness, then put it on my eye, applied makeup, then gently peeled off. On bottom, I used a makeup wipe to clean up the edge.
DeleteLOVE it ! I've never seen anything like it! :)
