Wet N Wild Tough Girl Collection

Wet N Wild has come out with a fabulous textured polish collection with six great colors. I happened upon a display and grabbed them right up! Three have shimmer, three are flat, and they all have a fantastic formula. They are generally opaque in one coat, but I put two just because I'm OCD. They all dry really quickly and do not chip easily considering you leave them without topcoat, but I've shown them both ways below.

The bottles are smaller than usual at 0.34oz/10ml and are a little pricier at $4.00/ea but totally worth it! That is, of course, in my nail polish hoarding opinion! =P

ATTEN Hut! and Femme Trouper, without topcoat

Femme Trouper is a peachy nude with golden shimmer. It sparkles so beautifully in the sunlight. My favorite out of the collection!

ATTEN Hut! is an army green (get it? haha) with golden shimmer. Another great one of the collection - love it. My second fav.

The rest of these photos were swatched at a different time (hence the longer nails) so sorry for the differences. I couldn't find the above polishes to re-do them, so I'm having to put up the original ones I did.

Beauty Is A Battlefield is a dark blue-leaning violet with pink and blue intermixed. Lovely color, I think it likely ties for second place, but you know I love purple.

Fatigue Glam is a flat dusty rose. Really pretty. No shimmer.

Tough Girl is a flat medium gray with a hint of brown. This one has no shimmer.

Left, Left, Left, Right, Left is a flat medium blue. I love how bold this color is and adore it with topcoat. This one really surprised me.

My top picks? Definitely Femme Trouper and ATTEN Hut! but they all are fantastic and I'd recommend grabbing them up if you have a chance.

Tracie

Another one from the vault that was missing!

Zoya Tracie is an oldie in terms of the nail polish world, but new to me! I love it. Nice spring color that felt nice to mix up all my bright summer colors. Soft cool, yellow-based green with silver shimmer frostiness that doesn't give you a hard time with brush marks.

I did these pictures awhile ago back at my old place which means they're 6+ months old. I believe I did two coats plus base and top coat. Zoya always wears well.

I do enjoy the yellow based color with the silver shimmer, which makes it overall a very neutral color in terms of color theory. I've never been a fan of greens until I got into polish and this one ranks at the top!

31DC2013: Day 18 Half Moons

I know I'm playing catch up but things have been pretty busy around here, so now I'm doing the challenge when I can. Hope you're sticking with me!

I did a couple different tries with half moons but when I came across this design, it was too cute not to do! My half moons are off center, but I think it still qualifies.

I did the background in a light blue for the sky and the balloons are all in textured polish for a bit of a 3-D effect.

31DC2013: Day 16 Tribal Print

I've been getting so many prompts that I've never done out of fear or time, so it's exciting to get to try them now! No excuses!

This is based on The Nailasaurus Tribal from a previous 31 Day Challenge.

I used a base coat with a lilac tint. The metallic polishes I added with a nail art brush and the black is acrylic paint.

Below is a matte version. I added Hard Candy Matte-ly in Love. I really like the matte effect although the metallic polishes make it hard to be fully matte. I think it gives it a softer look though.

31DC2013: Day 15 Delicate Print

Delicate print ... Oh the trouble I had with this one. I kept trying to think of something soft and delicate and fragile and I kept thinking lace. Beh. I have been wanting to do the butterfly wing nail art for awhile, so here it is! Butterfly wings are definitely delicate right?

I started with a gradient of holo of purple to blue and couldn't tell there was a change in color. Then it was purple to silver. Then pink to silver. Pink to solver had enough of a color change to be noticeable, but only up close. Which is fine, it's beautiful either way. Of course there was no sun when I did this, but the sponging took away the linear holo aspect anyway.

Below is my holo gradient.
