Hard Candy Glossaholic

These flakie lipglosses from Hard Candy are super fun. Large gloss containers, they're shorter than most but are much bigger in diameter. The doefoot applicator on them is pretty big too. Beware if you have small lips! It could get messy.

They are pretty sheer, except for fireball, and they all have a pretty iridescent look when the light hits them. The flakies shift depending on the light. 

Fun glosses, but seem more appropriate for a younger target group. They smell very sweet and are thick and catch your hair on your lips like crazy! I'd have to wear my hair up to deal with these.

Pink-A-Boo

I've finally got some pink polish on my nails!

Essie Pink-A-Boo over Models Own Pastel Pink

I layered Essie Pink-A-Boo, a lovely sheer milky pink with hot pink and turquoise shimmer, over Models Own Pastel Pink (another swatch of it here, I really like to layer sparkles on top of this color).  It was princess like in real life, in the pictures, it's a bit more mundane.

You can see the shimmer in Pink-A-Boo best in the bottle, but it was noticeable in strong light. Otherwise it was a nice pale pink mani!  Pastel Pink on its own below.

Pink usually isn't my thing, so I'm excited for a few more pink manis before I gear up for some Halloween fun!

Distressed Oui

A fun purple, gold, and black mani that is super fun and rocker chic. I love it.

I'd never heard of a distressed manicure until I happened along an old post by Chalkboard Nails and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. I tried it and I love it. It was a little harder to do than I originally thought, and takes some patience but the effect is pretty rad.

Yes, I just said rad.

The Mystic's Shine

L'Oreal The Mystic's Shine is a fun gloss I picked up awhile back while it was in the clearance section. I's a clear gloss that's jam packed with purple iridescent sparkle.

On its own, it gives the lips a nice purple iridescent sparkle when the light hits it just right. This is a fun gloss to put on top of lipsticks if you want to give it a whole other dimension!

Get It On

Sinful Colors Get It On. This was released awhile back, but it's a fun rubber finish polish. As much as I love my glitter, I adore anything matte or suede or rubber finished. 

The bottle is more of a hot pink but it dries down to a dark pink leaning maroon. Strange color but very interesting.
