NOTD: Big Dots

I was messing around with some "nail art" if you'd call it that. I added a few big dots to my Models Own Orange Sorbet.

I feel strange calling this nail art. I guess it IS nail art - it's something on top of the usual painted nail, but with all the nail art going around these days - water marble, galaxy nails, etc - dropping some dots on and calling it art seems a little snarky.

What do you think? Are stripes and dots still considered nail art?

  7. I still call it nail art. A mani doesn't have to contain a gazillion colours and polishes to be called nail art. And I like dots and lines. It's good for those of us who can't freehand!

  8. I agree - I prefer myself simplicity in my manis most of the time. I don't tire of them that way and they go with more clothing. I am a classics like of gal and also follow that theme in my clothing - almost always will buy plain colors and not patterns. I pull in patterns with scarfs or other spot accents. I admit, it's my comfort zone - but it's also budget and life style. If I wore a lot of the big in trend things, I would stick out like I was trying to be something no one is around the rural area I live in that is very woodsy.

  9. This is so simple and yet it's really striking and eyecatching! Even though I do a lot of weird stuff on my blog I don't use much nail art every day, I like stripes and spots and glitters :)
