Week 9: "Vintage" Mani

I'm back with Week 9 of the 52 Week Challenge. This week is "Vintage" mani. To be honest, I had to google this one too, because I wasn't sure what it meant. I also am not sure I did the right style, but I just kinda went with it! Hopefully I'm not too far off. Ahaha.

So I did this first one with Milani Totally Cool, and I used the hole reinforcement stickers for both the half moon and tips with Sally Hansen Celeb City. It was pretty messy, but I thought it looked cool. I snapped a quick pic in case my next attempt was worse, which it was!

My next full mani to wear was Essie Sand Tropaz (which I'll add more about a bit later), topped with Essie Shine of the Times and did the detailing with my migi pen in white. It's totally crooked and uneven. I should have used the stickers again. I tried black on the thumb with Sally Hansen Black Diamonds and an art brush which was even worse ... Ahaha.

Hope you guys like my attempts! I think they're both a bit of a bust, but I like how they came out with the rounded nails.

I hope you guys like my nails! Thanks for reading. Please don't forget to check out everyone else's nails to see their version of the challenge!

    1. I really liked the combination. Spices up a neutral without being too flashy!

  4. Great colours!! I think it worked out fine. I actually found out, that the easiest way to do this mani was to swipe the brush from side to side twice, while rolling the finger, starting above the moon and then swipe just above the first. Did that just make any kind of sense?
BTW I love the way you have done your 52 week challenge page, how do you do that?

    1. Yeah that did. I should have tried it like that.... And I just set up a table. It took awhile to tweak the code, but I like how it turned out. Once you get one pic/link set up, you just copy and paste and then change the picture and URL, so it's easier once you get that first one done.
