Summer Challenge: Ice Cream

Summer Challenge

Hiya beautiful, I'm back with our Summer Challenge. Today's challenge is "Ice Cream." So truth be told, I had no idea what to do for this one. I thought of ice cream cones, dishes with ice cream, and nothing really jumped at me. So I went a little more abstract today, hope that's ok!

glitter obsession: Ice Cream Mani
Summer Challenge: Ice Cream

Manicure based on Chalkboard Nails Cookies And Cream Jelly Sandwich. Mine isn't a jelly sammy, but it's close. If you squint your eyes, it kind of looks like Cookies N Cream ice cream... Great, now I'm hungry.

Products Used:

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear White On! (opaque creme white)
Cover Band Sticks & Stones (yessssss finally got my hands on it!)
Savvy French White White (sheer, thin white)

Cover Band Sticks & Stones

I'm sure ya'll know about Cover Band Sticks & Stones and all the Lynderella drama with it. However, I prefer this one to all the other ones just because of the size and denseness of the glitters used and the lack of shimmer or color in the base polish. After seeing tons of swatches and comparisons, I really wanted this one. It's available at NinjaPolish.com for $9 but it's usually sold out - but you can sign up for an email when it's available. That's what I did and I finally scored a bottle (or three).

Giveaway

Don't forget today is the last day for my giveaway! Tweet, FB, post to get in those extra entries! Plus, once I get settled at my new place, I'll be announcing my next giveaway, which is gonna be awesome.

I'm a little crazy

I only wore this on 4 nails for a few hours for the purpose of this challenge because I needed to get ahead on this challenge so I wouldn't get behind while I'm moving! Funny thing was, I had some errands to run and I didn't have time to take it off before I left the house. I did get quite a few compliments on it, and quite a few strange looks.

Have any of you only done 4 (or 5) nails and then had to go out in public? What happened? Do tell!

    1. Haha, you should have told them it is the latest trend! It'd be funny if a ton of people started wearing swatches!

  6. I love the cookies and cream look! And yes, I've done the swatch look. For my patriotic Twinsie Tuesday post, I literally had six bare nails and an abstract American flag on my left hand. It was absolutely ridiculous, but hey, a blogger's gotta do what a blogger's gotta do ;)

  7. The day I discovered the Great Ant Invasion, I ran right out to our community manager's office with my left hand done in full palm tree glory for the challenge, and my right hand completely bare.

    Looks good enough to eat!
