Barielle Nail Polish Swatches & Review

I don't know how many of you know about Barielle, because when I mentioned them in my latest haul post, it seemed new to a lot of you. So here's the dilly-yo.

Barielle is a company that sells hand and foot care products along with 3-free nail polishes. They have an extensive list of products that you can find through different skin/nail needs (dry brittle nails, soft peeling nails, etc).

Here is what they say about themselves:
Over 30 years ago, Barielle introduced "Nail Strengthener Cream" as the first nail care product of its kind. Originally formulated to condition the hooves of million-dollar thoroughbred racehorses, this legendary skin care product helps nails grow healthier and stronger while resisting splits, peels and breaks. Its effectiveness launched Barielle as a nail and skin care company with unique products and approaches to treating, protecting and maintaining nails. Barielle has since evolved into one of the leading prestige nail care, hand care and foot care brands sold in the world, known for our cracked feet treatments and the best moisturizers for dry skin.

I have a few to share with you today! I'm very excited about these colors and I've done a few pairings that I hope you will like.

Aren't you excited? I sure am!

Barielle Car-ess is described as "nude taupe" but I'd call it more a fleshy nude that leans slightly pink. Very work friendly and nice for when you don't want your nails to catch attention or you need a nude base for a polish. I received a lot of compliments on this one.

Barielle Mother of the Bride is described as a "golden beige with shimmer." Ummm, I'd call it a sheer frosted white. Very pretty, very work appropriate (or wedding appropriate). Great for layering.

Barielle Car-ess with Barielle Mother of the Bride is a great combination. It makes Car-ess more flirty and feminine. Loved it.

Barielle Jess' Champagne Toast is a described as a "metallic violet with rose gold glitter." It's a gorgeous color in the bottle but it's a bit frosty on the nail. The micro glitter keeps it interesting though. This is two coats, and really, it's likely a one coater (yay) but I had to do two to work on the brush strokes and I still didn't get rid of them.

Barielle Shannon's Attitude is described as a "purple jelly with metallic flakes." I'd agree with the purple jelly but I'd say it has sparse microglitter and holographic bars. Either way, it's pretty. You could likely layer it a few times and get a neat mani. This is two coats here. I didn't do a full mani, because, well, you get the idea here.

Barielle Jess' Champagne Toast with Barielle Shannon's Attitude is a great combination. The jelly topper smooths out the polish underneath so you no longer have brush marks and the glitter and holographic bars look awesome against the purple.

Barielle Falling Star is described as a marine blue with gold glitter. The gold glitter seems a little more orange to me, but either way it's a neat polish. The glitter gives it a rough texture, but I'm sure top coat could smooth it out!

Barielle Falling Star with Barielle Shannon's Attitude. These were much more purple in real life but my camera only wanted to see blue. It hid the gold glitter from Falling Star, but the end result is still pretty cool! It's like fireworks on my nails!

All in all, these are really nice polishes. Good colors, good pigmentation, and wore for 2-3 days before chipping. I also have their Nail Building Protein and Manicure Extender that I am dying to try, but I want to use up some other stuff first so I can just use those and see how my nails react.

Barielle polishes are 0.45oz and retail for $8.00 each. You can purchase them through their website or other etailers.

Bonus picture from when I wore Car-ess before I had to take my nails down!

  1. Car-ess is amazing! I emailed this brand before and they refused to answer me so I'm not going to buy from them which is a shame :(

    1. I agree, Car-ess is amazing! I'm so sorry they didn't answer you. Maybe there was a mixup? Don't write them off! I'm sure it wasn't intentional. Everyone I've talked to/emailed has been super nice and helpful!

    1. Thanks! I think Car-ess was made for me! Yeah the bar glitter is a little much, but it's cool to layer on other polishes, where I think it shines!
