Nail Art: Hubby's Nails

I think my husband gets jealous with all the time I spend on my nails. I do sit with him and I grunt in response every now and then, but that wasn't enough apparently.

He wanted me to do some art work on his nails ...

chinese character nails, chinese character manicure, chinese symbol manicure, chinese symbol mani, chinese symbols nails, chinese character mani

He wanted one character, then two, then three ... Then six. I googled the characters and then used my Milani Nail Art Polish in Black.

I know they're not perfect, but it's my first try. Heh. He really likes them. He even wanted a clear coat so he can wear them out. Rock on Mr. Kaki!

Of course, he's taking a day or two off because he does construction and has a war wound. Poor baby. He's whiney when he's hurt.

What do you think about my husband with nail art? Or men with nail polish in general?

  1. I can honestly say "Go Mr. Kaki!" LOL.....my hubby loves when I give him pedicures and manicures and even allows me to put nail strengthener on him.....he might even let me do color, when he's sleeping haha!

  2. The art is gorgeous! I really love it!
However, I find it a bit hard to take seriously men with nail polish.
Maybe I'm just old fashioned or maybe it's the entire hand. Perhaps if it was only one nail I could take it easier.

Kinda like... men with earings? if it's only one ear then... well, ok. But if it's more....

  4. That's so sweet. I thought I was the only one that did those things to my hubby. I bought some new stamps and he let me stamp butterflies and hearts on his fingers which looked so cute (giggle)... Hope Mr. Kaki gets well soon

  6. Awww that's adorable!!! I'm totally jealous, my husband will never let me put nail polish on him, ever! Even if I promise just to take it off right away. He's normally willing to do fun stuff like that, but for some reason he draws the line with polish. Grrr! On St. Patty's Day, we met up with a bunch of our friends at our house before hand and several of our male friends allowed me to paint their nails green. Not my husband though! He's such a weirdo =)

    1. That's so funny that he didn't give in when the others guys did. Maybe he thought green wasn't his color?

  9. I like all the posts I've been seeing recently of boyrfriends/husbands getting and/or doing nails. Such good sports.

  10. Hahaa. My boyfriend will sit next to me when I paint my nails and comment. I even painted his once when he asked. And when he saw how bad his nails looked painted, he completely stopped tearing them! He uses clippers like a civilized person now.

Go Mr. Kaki! And I hope he gets better soon.

  11. BAHAHAH, this is freaking great. The most my boyfriend will let me do it put his 'No Bite' on for him, lolol. And he let me paint his pinky toe with glitter one time! Otherwise he's not into it. Love the nail art, though!

  12. That was nice of you to paint his nails :) I sometimes feel bad for men because they can't wear polish without being criticized :( I wish our world wasn't so judgmental, and everyone felt free to be themselves.

  13. I do think it was quite odd for guys to wear nail polish though isn't it the same with girls playing games? Well, another side I think 'PROPS TO THEM!' For having the courage to wear nail polish outside, you've great penmenship btw :D

  17. I used to think it weird that a guy would wear nail polish - but then it happened to me! My wife painted my toenails a deep maroon in response to me complimenting her on the color of hers. The really weird thing is that we both liked it though. Seriously, it didn't seem as odd to me once I tried it and since then she's painted them other colors like dark blue, gray, black and dark green.
If you had told me I'd like it prior to that experience, I'd give the typical guy response and say you were crazy. But I guess you never know until you actually try it...
